University Grants Commission (UGC)

Brainware University is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC), a statutory body of the Government of India established for the coordination, determination and maintenance of standards of university education in India.

Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) initiated an All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) in the year 2011 with reference date of 30th September, 2010 to build a robust database and to assess the correct picture of higher Education in the country.

The main objectives of the survey was to identify & capture all the institutions of higher learning in the country, Collect the data from all the higher education institutions on various aspects of higher education.

Brainware University is now recognised by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) as a Scientific & Industrial Research Organization (SIRO).

Ministry Of MSME

Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (M/o MSME) envisions a vibrant MSME sector by promoting growth and development of the MSME sector, including Khadi, Village and Coir Industries, in cooperation with concerned ministries/departments, state governments and other stakeholders, by providing support to existing enterprises and encouraging the creation of new enterprises.

Ministry of MSME has recognised Brainware University as Host Institute (HI) to set up/establish Business Incubation (BI) to provide 'Support for Entrepreneurial and Managerial Development of MSMEs’.

INDIAN NURSING COUNCIL (INC)

The Indian Nursing Council is a national regulatory body for nurses and nurse education in India. It is an autonomous body under the Government of India, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, constituted by the Central Government.

West Bengal Nursing Council (WBNC)

The nursing profession in West Bengal is regulated by the West Bengal Nursing Council, a statutory body governed by the provisions of The Bengal Nurses (West Bengal Amendment) Act, 1949. The main objectives of the WBNC are to provide safe nursing service to the public and also to provide a sound, uniform system of education based on scientific knowledge.

Bar Council Of India (BCI)

The Bar Council of India was established by Parliament under the Advocates Act, 1961. It performs the regulatory function by prescribing standards of professional conduct and etiquette and by exercising disciplinary jurisdiction over the bar. It also sets standards for legal education and grants recognition to Universities whose degree in law will serve as qualification for enrolment as an advocate.

Computer Society Of India (CSI)

Formed in 1965, the CSI has been instrumental in guiding the Indian IT industry down the right path during its formative years. Today, the CSI has 72 chapters all over India, 511 student branches, and more than 100,000 members, including India’s most famous IT industry leaders, brilliant scientists and dedicated academicians. Institution Innovation Council (IIC)

Brainware University’s Institution Innovative Council (IIC) got established in 2018-2019 under the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. The main focus of BWU IIC is to foster culture of innovation among students.

Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA)

The Mission of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan is to enable higher educational institutions to work with the people of rural India in identifying development challenges and evolving appropriate solutions for accelerating sustainable growth. It also aims to create a virtuous cycle between society and an inclusive academic system by providing knowledge and practices for emerging professions and upgrade the capabilities of the public and private sectors in responding to the development needs of rural India.

e-ShodhSindhu

The main objective of the e-ShodhSindhu: Consortia for higher education e-resources, is to provide access to qualitative electronic resources including full-text, bibliographic and factual databases to academic institutions at a lower rate of subscription.

National Digital Library (NDL)

MHRD, Govt. India under its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology, in association with IIT Kharagpur, has formed the National Digital Library (NDL) project to develop a digital repository of learning resources with a single-window search facility.
