Dr Shouvik Saha is an Environmental Engineer and earned his Doctoral degree from Hanyang University, Seoul, South Korea. His research interest lies at the intersection of anaerobic fermentation/digestion of organic waste, microbial electrolysis cells, waste-to-bioenergy/value-added chemicals (Hydrogen, Methane, and Biodiesel), bioremediation of persistent contaminants, and microbial ecology. He has published thirty-one SCI(E) articles in highly reputed international journals and has a commercialized patent on the anaerobic microbiome technology for waste-to-energy generation. He executed a project on the anaerobic digestion of organic wastes sponsored by Hanyang University, Seoul, and was involved in the development of a pilot anaerobic dual-reactor system for food waste-to-biogas production at Sincheon Wastewater Treatment Plant, Daegu, South Korea.
