Dr Debayan Bhowmick

Assistant Professor

Dept. of Mechanical Engineering

Brainware University

Dr Debayan Bhowmick is a Mechanical Engineer and he earned his doctoral area from National Institute of Technology Silchar, Assam, India. His research interest lies upon developing and accessing numerical models to accurately predict problems involving coupled fluid dynamics, heat, and mass transfer. He has developed a strong background in numerical modeling (solution of coupled PDEs) during my doctoral studies and applied it for investigating the performance and thermal safety issues in partially filled porous corrugated channel. Exploration in the field of energy storage devices is rapidly advancing and contains several interdisciplinary research opportunities. His specific interest lies in developing advanced modeling techniques to gain a fundamental understanding of the heat transfer augmentation and entropy generation characteristics due to forced convective flow within a partially filled porous channel. He has published six SCI(E) articles in highly reputed international journals and published one book chapter in the springer indexed book.
