2-day Conference on 'Transforming Pharmacy Education as per the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 for Holistic Development'

Pharmacy education in India is a multidisciplinary science stream that primarily focuses on the study of pharmaceutical products for the prevention and treatment of various health ailments. The academic pharmacy programs are exhaustive in nature and students after acquiring pharmacy degrees at various levels.

The main objective behind National Education Policy (NEP) is to highlight the fact that education should not only focus on developing cognitive abilities, including the essential skills of literacy and numeracy, but also on cultivating higher-order cognitive capacities such as critical thinking and problem-solving, along with social, ethical, and emotional capacities and attitudes.

In this context, the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology in collaboration with Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India, West Bengal, is organising a 2-day national conference on 'Transforming Pharmacy Education as per the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 for Holistic Development' on August 25 and 26.
